READING: We will be reading a story called "Dex the Heart of a Hero" We will also be working on adjects, comparing and contrasting and character traits. Of course we will be going over main idea, plot, beginning, middle and end also. :)
WRITING:
We will are working on proofreading and making sure we have all important information and our writing makes sense. We are starting to be creative in our SQUIGGLE stories each week. This is where the students receive a squiggle mark, then have to draw something using the squiggle and then write about it! We are creating some awesome writing in our journals and we are exciting to do so many writing projects! We continue to work on writing Weekend Reports every Monday. We are focusing on writing a complete sentence with a capital letter, a complete thought, and an end mark. We are also learning to use graphic organizers to help with our pre-writes. With every sentence we write, we try to think of one good detail sentence to add to our stories. Phonics: we will be working on "or" words.

We will be practice spelling but there will not be a test.
MATH:
We have are working on problems solving, graphing, and arrays. Addition and Subtraction skills will be worked on daily. We are working on problem solving. We are also counting to 1000, skip counting, working on graphs, and looking for patterns.
Science:
We will be working on studying animals and their habitats. We will be focusing on what causes the change to the habitat to alter it's inhabitants.
HANDWRITING:
